Essays, voice notes, beauty, grief and reanimation.

My name is LeAnn, but the people who love me call me Lannie.
It started with my niece, when she was little and couldn’t quite land on the syllables. She said “Lannie” and like most things that come from children, it was both accidental and completely right.
Love, Lannie is where I write in real time — essays, voice notes, grief fragments, family stories, humor, and whatever else survives long enough for me to write it down.
I’m writing about caregiving, loss, reanimation, family, love, memory, and the strange emotional archaeology of being human.
Some essays are funny. Some are devastating. Most are both.
Because that feels closest to real life.
I’m also writing a book, and this space is part of that unfolding.
If any of this feels familiar to you, welcome.
I’m glad you’re here.
